Position: Warehouse Assistant

Our Client, a global leader in hygiene, cleaning, and infection-prevention solutions with headquarters in Kenya is looking to recruit a Warehouse Assistant.

Job Summary

The Warehouse Assistant will be responsible for managing inventory through the accurate receiving, storage, and issuance of stock while ensuring compliance with Warehouse Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) and 6S to maintain an efficient, safe, and organized warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

• Inventory Management; receiving and issuing of stocks and ensuring accurate inventory records are maintained, prepare items for dispatch and loading, while adhering to batch management.
• Participation in Mombasa warehouse cycle counts and annual stock takes.
• Tracking of SLOBs, expired and damaged goods.
• Segregation of goods and proper housekeeping of Mombasa warehouse.
• Participation and support in Mombasa Warehouse and office EHS and 6s activities.
• Has no formal managerial responsibility, but may provide guidance to colleagues (e.g. provides coaching)

Qualifications & Experience

• Graduate degree in Supply chain management.
• At least 3 years progressive warehouse management experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with inventory management systems.
• Experience in operating lifting equipment e.g. stacker or forklift (forklift certification) will be an added advantage.
