  • Our client with a focus on multiple business segments is looking for an experienced and results-driven Country Sales Manager to join their team.

    JOB PURPOSE

    The holder of this role is expected to lead and drive the commercial sales strategy within the country, ensuring revenue growth, market share expansion and operational excellence across all sales channels.

    The Country Sales Manager will serve as the key link between regional leadership and local execution, aligning business goals with customer needs and regulatory frameworks.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop and execute the country sales strategy aligned with regional and corporate objectives.
    • Drive sales performance across local commercial accounts, B2B Reseller and Transit sales.
    • Identify growth opportunities across B2B, retail, and institutional segments.
    • Originate new business opportunities through proactive market engagement, lead generation, and strategic prospecting.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners.
    • Manage key accounts ensuring service reliability and contract fulfillment.
    • Lead market penetration initiatives, pricing strategies and competitive positioning.
    • Monitor fuel movement, cross border dynamics and regional trade flows to anticipate demand and mitigate risk.
    • Work closely with supply & operations, Finance, and customer experience teams to deliver seamless customer experience.
    • Represent the B2B Sales department in planning, forecasting and strategic reviews.
    • Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline forecasts, and account plans to support strategic decision-making.
    • Ensure adherence to internal controls, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards.
    • Other tasks as demanded by the business.

    EDUCATION, PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, commerce, or a related field.
    • MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification would be an added advantage.
    • Minimum 8–10 years of progressive sales experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in oil and gas industry.
    • Experience in East African markets—preferably Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania—with deep understanding of regulatory, logistical, and customer dynamics.
    • Strategic thinking with commercial acumen.
    • Analytical and numerical skills.
    • High Negotiation, contract management and stakeholder engagement skills.
    • Proactive and solution oriented.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
