Our client, Mitsumi Distribution, one of the leading firms in the technology distribution sector providing a diverse array of authorized IT products and services across the Middle East and Africa regions is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager – Security & Network Solutions to drive sales growth through their partner ecosystem.
JOB PURPOSE
This role focuses on promoting leading cybersecurity and networking products through channel partners, engaging with vendors, and developing new business opportunities within the enterprise, SMB, and public sector markets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Channel & Partner Development
- Identify, onboard, and manage resellers, system integrators, and VARs across the region.
- Build strong relationships with partners, supporting them with product knowledge, sales training, and joint GTM strategies.
- Monitor partner performance and implement enablement programs to increase productivity.
Vendor & Product Portfolio Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned security and networking vendors (e.g., Fortinet, Cisco, Sophos, Ruckus, Aruba, etc.).
- Align with vendor account managers to drive revenue, meet certification targets, and execute local sales/marketing campaigns.
- Stay updated on product roadmaps, promos, and technical certifications.
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and execute regional sales plans to achieve targets for firewall, endpoint, Wi-Fi, switches, UTM, NAC, and SD-WAN solutions.
- Identify new business opportunities and create demand through events, webinars, lead generation, and end-user engagement with partners.
- Manage sales pipeline, forecast revenue, and provide timely reporting to management.
Technical Coordination & Pre-Sales Support
- Work closely with technical teams to deliver solution positioning, demos, POCs, and tender responses.
- Understand customer needs and advise partners on suitable security/network architecture.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or Business. Technical certifications are an advantage.
- 4–8 years of experience in B2B networking or security product sales, preferably in a distribution or channel-based environment.
- Proven record of meeting sales targets and growing channel business.
- Deep understanding of networking (switching, routing, Wi-Fi), cybersecurity (firewalls, EDR, VPN, UTM), and enterprise IT environments.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Preferred Certifications
- Sales or pre-sales certifications from vendors like:
- Fortinet NSE, Cisco Sales/SE, Sophos, Aruba, Checkpoint, Palo Alto
- ITIL Foundation or networking fundamentals (e.g., CCNA)
