REPORTS TO: CHIEF FINANCE OFFICER

Our client with a focus on multiple business segments is looking for an analytical, proactive, and detail-oriented Finance Officer- Management Information, Planning and Reporting to join their team.

JOB PURPOSE

The holder of this role is expected to analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations to management for strategic decision-making and operational improvements. This is a key business advisory role playing a crucial role in optimizing a company's financial health and future growth.  

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Produce regular financial reports providing management with an overview of business and financial performance to support strategic decision-making.

  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve business performance.

  • Ensure the integrity of financial models and projections through implementation of suitable controls, documentation and testing.

  • Produce monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with statutory and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

  • Develop financial KPIs which will be used to assess the success of both the business and the financial strategy.

  • Analyze competitor and market financial information to provide insight to assist with decision making.

  • Manage the budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning process.

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.

  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure the business keeps a record of all risks and opportunities identified from the monthly balance sheet review exercise.

  • Coordinate projects and capital spending review processes for the organization.

  • Other tasks as required by the business.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS


  • A first degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Business Administration or any relevant discipline.

  • Membership of a relevant professional body e.g. ACCA/CPA.

  • Previous experience managing internal and external audits and preparing financial statements will be an added advantage.

  • Analytical and numerical skills.

  • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), financial policies, procedures, and systems.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Negotiation skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships.
