Our client in the hospitality industry is looking to hire a strategic, cost-conscious, and results-driven Procurement Officer to join their vibrant team.
JOB PURPOSE
The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing supplies and inventory for all business segments—bar and restaurant, car wash, and barber shop. They ensure cost-effective procurement, quality assurance, and timely delivery of goods and services to support smooth operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable vendors for food & beverages, cleaning products, automotive care supplies, and barbering essentials.
- Purchasing & Cost Control: Negotiate prices and terms to ensure cost-efficient procurement while maintaining quality standards.
- Inventory Management: Track stock levels, coordinate replenishment, and prevent shortages or excess inventory.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect received goods to ensure compliance with business requirements and industry standards.
- Budgeting & Reporting: Work within budgetary constraints and maintain procurement records for cost analysis.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all purchases comply with health, safety, and legal requirements relevant to each sector.
- Supplier Coordination: Liaise with suppliers to resolve delivery delays, discrepancies, or quality issues.
- Market Research: Stay updated on trends in food & beverage, auto care, and grooming products to optimize procurement decisions.
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Diploma or degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.
- Experience in procurement for the hospitality or service industry.
- Experience in procurement, supply chain management, or inventory control.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Knowledge of products relevant to hospitality, automotive care, and grooming industries.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage procurement for different business units.
- Basic financial and reporting skills.
Work Conditions:
- Frequent interactions with suppliers and vendors.
- Managing stock across multiple business locations.
