Our client, a leading automotive manufacturer in Electric 2&3 Wheelers offering continued renewable energy technology solutions through excellent customer service is seeking to recruit a IoT Tech Support – East & West Africa Cluster to provide technical support for Internet of Things (IoT) solutions across East and West Africa.

Job Purpose

The IoT Tech Support for the West Africa Cluster will play a crucial role in supporting field operations under the guidance of the Global Head of Field Operations in Africa. This role requires a combination of technical expertise in IoT and basic management skills to ensure the seamless execution of field activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in IoT technologies, be proficient in Jira for task management, and possess the ability to lead and coordinate with field teams effectively. 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Field Operations Support: 


  • Assist in the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of IoT devices across the West Africa Cluster. 

  • Ensure all field operations are executed efficiently and in compliance with company standards. 

  • Provide technical support to field teams for IoT device issues and troubleshoot as necessary.

2. Task Management on Jira: 


  • Manage and track daily activities on the Jira board. 

  • Update Jira with task statuses, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. 

  • Coordinate with field teams to resolve and close tasks in Jira as per project timelines. 

3. Monitoring and Reporting: 


  • Generate detailed reports on daily operational activities. 

  • Track the performance of field operations and report any deviations or issues to the Global Head of Field Operations. 

  • Maintain logs for all significant activities, including device activations, firmware upgrades, and SIM card replacements. 

4. Stakeholder Communication: 


  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with field teams and stakeholders. 

  • Respond to stakeholder queries and concerns promptly and professionally. 

  • Provide regular updates on project progress and operational challenges. 

5. Training and Upskilling: 


  • Identify skill gaps within the field teams and organize training sessions to enhance capabilities. 

  • Conduct regular training on IoT technologies and best practices. 

  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement among field staff. 

6. Compliance and Protocols:


  •  Ensure all field operations comply with relevant protocols and regulations. 

  • Stay updated on industry standards and best practices. 

  • Implement and monitor compliance measures in field operations. 

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND TRAITS


  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Information Technology). 

  • 3-4 years of experience in IoT technologies and field operations. 

  • Basic management skills and the ability to lead and coordinate with field teams. 

  • Proficiency in Jira for task management and tracking. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

  • Experience working in the East & West Africa region. 

  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory and compliance requirements. 

  • Knowledge of additional project management tools and techniques.
