  • DURATION: 3 MONTH CONTRACT
    Our client, one of the leading fintech companies in the region with headquarters in South Africa, is looking for a Retail Acquiring Consultant to support their expanding merchant services and payment solutions portfolio in Uganda.

    JOB PURPOSE

    The Retail Acquiring Consultant will be responsible for identifying and onboarding new merchants, managing relationships with key retail partners, and driving up the adoption of our client’s payment solutions to ensure revenue growth.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • To attract new business through promoting, marketing and selling our clients existing products to customers within the scope of the company and profile.
    • Achieve weekly and monthly performance targets
    • To market the product via telephone, cold calling and outbound marketing activities
    • Facilitate the implementation and support of Point of Sales systems
    • Managing communications between clients and internal teams
    • To have sufficient knowledge of competitive products in the marketplace and pricing offered
    • Ensure all clients are onboarded onto all applicable product streams
    • Schedule and provide training to the customer
    • Resolve key client issues and complaints

    EDUCATION QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND TRAITS

    • UACE and Diploma qualifications are required
    • Degree in marketing, advertising or communication would be an added advantage.
    • 1-2 years minimum relevant experience in sales, marketing and customer relationships.
    • Sufficient knowledge of the banking environment and payments solutions would be a plus
    • Experience with direct customer contact
    • Experience working towards clear sales targets
    • Proficiency in MS Office.
