Our client, Leo Design Ltd. has been operating in Kenya since 2009 and specializes in civil works and highly technical applications. The company has worked in a variety of civil works projects in Nairobi and has a solid team of reliable people based in its offices in Nairobi.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Kirandich Dam Phase II is a water distribution and civil works project, financed by the Government of Kenya and Located in Kabarnet, Baringo County, Kenya.
The Project is intended to put to good use the Exisiting “Kirandich Dam”, built in 1993 to provide water to the region of Kabarnet and its surrounding towns. The pipelines draw water from the Dam and distribute it to the 5 main towns in the area.
Moreover, the dam requires refurbishment works and preventative interventions to ensure its health in the long-term, and this is the nature of the civil and earth works component of the project.
The project consists of five aspects:
The Project is expected to last for Two Years plus any corrections of defects once completed.
JOB SUMMARY
The ideal candidate will take on the role of QS/Planner, responsible for managing a team of three on-the-ground Surveyors. The primary duties include reporting on measurements, documenting completed work, and preparing comprehensive reports in adherence to project specifications for Interim Payment Certificate (IPC) submissions. Additionally, the candidate will play a crucial role in forecasting production times from collected data, providing timely updates to the head office, and offering valuable insights for the planning of future work.
