Location: Wote in Makueni

Our client in vegetable oil extraction, is seeking to recruit a Plumber/utility coordinator. Successful candidate will be responsible for all plumbing and pipe fitting work(Gi, PPR, PVC, Stainless steel, aluminum, seamless/black pipes, etc) in terms of mechanical services involving fire systems, water supply & treatment, drainage & wastewater systems, etc.

Main accountabilities and Responsibilities

1. Pipe Welding, bonding and repair which include high pressure piping.
2. Pipe threading
3. plumbing & pipe fitting relative to GI, PPR, PVC, aluminium, cast-iron, alloys and stainless steel among others
4. Operation and maintenance (Attending to utilities); - ie, water pumps, boilers, refrigeration system, fire system, compressed air system, cooling towers, chillers, water supply & treatment systems
5. Interpreting engineering drawings
6. Handling workshop processes of; fabrication, precision fitting, machining and pipe fitting.
7. Operation of CNC welding and cutting machines
8. Surface preparation and coating of metals which includes powder coating and zinc metalizing,
9. Heat treatment of metals
10. Planning and execution of work including leading a team

Qualifications and Experience

• Holder of diploma in mechanical engineering specializing on Plumbing/pipe fitting from a reputable institution, or final craft certificate and demonstrated experience may apply
• Over 5 years of sound continuous and detailed experience in plumbing & pipe fitting relative to GI, PPR, PVC, aluminium, cast-iron, alloys and stainless steel among others.
• Conversant with using hot work permits, JSA and all applicable occupational health and safety procedures
• Conversant with fire safety
• Conversant with all advanced Plumbing tools and methodologies,
• Conversant with all workshop processes;
