Job Titile: Casual warehouse worker / Cleaner

Functional Area : Supply Chain - Warehouse

Job Location: Kampala - Uganda

Job Summary: We're seeking a reliable and versatile individual to join our warehouse team on a casual basis. As a casual warehouse worker/cleaner, you'll be responsible for receiving and storing products within our warehouse, as well as maintaining a clean and organized environment. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and basic knowledge of warehouse operations and cleaning procedures.

Responsibilities Include:

• Receive and process incoming stock and materials
• Pick and pack orders for dispatch
• Store and retrieve products in designated areas
• Operate warehouse equipment (e.g. pallet jacks) under supervision
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, including:
  • Sweeping and mopping floors
  • Emptying trash and recyclables
  • Cleaning pallet jack
• Follow safety procedures and protocols
• Collaborate with team members to meet productivity targets
• Safety ambassador – adhering to health and safety standards
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse enviroment
• Mind-set change of being pro-active rather than reactive
• Has no formal managerial responsibility

Qualifications and Experience

Education:

• Ordinary level
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures and safety protocols

Experience:

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to read and write
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Language

• Must be able to communicate in English
