Our client, one of the leading Global B2B cleaning, hygiene and specialty chemicals companies in the region with headquarters in Kenya is looking to recruit a Warehouse Intern. The Warehouse Intern will be responsible for supporting operations of Uganda Warehouse, including inventory management and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Inventory Management; receiving and issuing of stocks and ensuring accurate inventory records are maintained, prepare items for dispatch by assisting in loading while adhering to batch management.
• Participation in Uganda warehouse cycle counts and year end stock takes.
• Coordination of Uganda ABPs replenishment and timely submission of Vendor invoices to Nairobi
• Warehouse Organization; Segregation of goods and proper housekeeping by organizing the warehouse layout for optimal space utilization and accessibility
• Safety compliance; Follow Solenis EHS safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the Warehouse Supervisor. Participate in Uganda Warehouse and office 6s activities.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATION & COMPETENCIES

• Graduate degree in Supply chain management.
• At least 1 year progressive warehouse management experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience in operating lifting equipment e.g. stacker or forklift (forklift certification) will be an added advantage.
