Our client, a market leader in visual communication across East Africa with 35+ years of experience, is seeking to recruit a Draftsman.

JOB PURPOSE:

The incumbent will be involved in preparing accurate technical drawings and production-ready artwork for various projects in line with client specifications, structural requirements, and fabrication standards.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings for signage fabrication and installation.
• Convert design concepts into production drawings.
• Prepare shop drawings, structural layouts, and installation details.
• Generating and working on DWG Drawings.
• Conduct site measurements where necessary.
• Liaise with designers, project managers, and production teams.
• Revise drawings based on client and production feedback.
• Ensure drawings comply with fabrication and safety standards.
• Maintain drawing records and documentation.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• Diploma or Degree in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• 2–4 years experience in signage, fabrication, construction, or manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in:
  • AutoCAD (Mandatory)
  • CorelDraw / Adobe Illustrator (Added advantage)
  • SketchUp or similar 3D software (Added advantage)
• Ability to read architectural and structural drawings
• Strong understanding of materials such as acrylic, aluminium, vinyl, LED components, steel structures
• High attention to detail
• Strong technical drawing skills
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
• Problem-solving mindset
• Strong coordination ability
• Must be familiar with ISO 9001:2015 Standards
