  • Our client, a market leader in visual communication across East Africa with 35+ years of experience is looking to hire a highly detail-oriented Quality Coordinator to oversee quality control in their signage production and installation operations.

    JOB PURPOSE:

    The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with our client’s specifications, reducing defects, conducting inspections, and coordinating quality improvement initiatives.

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Oversee quality control processes across signage production and installation to ensure adherence to company and client specifications.
    • Conduct routine inspections of materials, production work, and installation activities to verify quality standards are met.
    • Identify defects or non-conformities and coordinate corrective actions to minimize rework and production errors.
    • Ensure all signage products comply with client specifications, approved designs, measurements, materials, and finishing requirements.
    • Maintain accurate quality control records, inspection reports, and documentation for all projects.
    • Work closely with production, installation, and project teams to address quality issues and implement continuous improvement measures.
    • Monitor compliance with established quality procedures, standards, and safety requirements.
    • Support the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce defects.
    • Communicate quality-related findings and recommendations to management and relevant project stakeholders.

    EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

    • A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Industrial Technology, Production/Manufacturing or a related field.
    • 3–5 years experience in manufacturing or production environment.
    • Experience in signage, printing, fabrication or branding industry is an added advantage.
    • Goos understanding of quality control tools.
    • Ability to read technical drawings.
    • Good understanding of production processes.
    • Good knowledge of ISO 9001 principles.
    • Basic computer proficiency (Excel, reporting).
    • High attention to detail.
    • Strong analytical skills.
    • Firm but fair approach.
    • Good communication skills.
    • Problem-solving mindset.

    Key Competencies:

    • Quality inspection techniques.
    • Root cause analysis.
    • Documentation control.
    • Vendor quality evaluation.
    • Risk assessment.
