Our client in Environmental and climate resilience services is recruiting a Logistician/Driver. Qualified candidate will be responsible for supporting the organization of Events, in coordination with the PMU (Project management Unit).

Duties and Responsibilities

• Understanding any cars related maintenance needs and reporting them to the Finance Manager.
• Making sure that the Project Management Unit (PMU) Office is in good state and informs the Finance Manager of any logistical issues that needs to be addressed (i.e. electricity faults, cleaning, bulbs replacement, etc.).
• Creating a database of the Stationery in stock and informing the Administrative Assistant of any Stationery needs of the PMU Office.
• Verifying and making sure that PMU Office Furniture and IT equipment are well maintained and/or stored. - Labelling the PMU Office Equipment making sure that labels have the Project logos and the identification number.
• Creating an inventory of the PMU Office with the labelled identification numbers as a reference and updating the objects status at least once per month.
• Update the List of Suppliers, identifying a contact person and verifying that phone numbers and email addresses are working correctly,
• Support the organization of Events, in coordination with the PMU.
• Driving the Project Cars.
• Scheduling the usage of the AICS Project Cars.
• Double-check the car logbooks at least once a month and make sure that it is duly filled and signed and coherent with the actual car usage.
• Keeping updated the Project Car Logbook.
• Making sure that car has always an appropriate (more than 50%) level of fuel in the fuel tank and refilling.
• Ability to conduct project vehicles (including 4x4) safely even in non-urban conditions.
• Verifying the presence of the legal documents of the car before using it.
• Perform any other logistical or driving duties as requested by the Project Manager or Finance Manager.

Qualification and skills

• Middle school diploma
• Driving license.
• English and Swahili Language at advanced level
• Good knowledge of automotive mechanics

Professional experience

• Minimum 2 years working experience as Logistician/Driver for international organizations or private companies active in East Africa.
