  • Our client, Genome Technologies Limited, is a fast-growing Agritech startup/company on a mission to revolutionize farming with AI-driven insights, IoT sensors, sustainable solutions, farm management software, is looking to recruit a Business Sales Executive to join their team.

    JOB PURPOSE:

    The Business Sales Executive will identify and pursue new sales opportunities, build long-term relationships with key agricultural stakeholders, and provide technical support to ensure product effectiveness. Play a key role in connecting our innovative solutions with the farmers and partners who need them.

    KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Learn & Engage: Become an expert on our agritech products and the challenges our customers face. 
    • Generate Leads: Research and identify potential clients (farmers, cooperatives, agribusinesses) through online channels, industry events, and cold outreach. 
    • Support Sales Cycles: Assist the senior business development team in qualifying leads, scheduling demos, and preparing proposals. 
    • Build Relationships: Initiate and nurture relationships with potential clients, understanding their needs and demonstrating how our solution adds value. 
    • Market Intelligence: Gather feedback from the market and report on competitor activity to help shape our strategy. 
    • Contribute to Growth: Actively participate in strategy sessions and contribute fresh ideas to help us reach new markets.
    • Set up and manage demonstration farms or conduct field trials to showcase the practical benefits and ROI of the company's products.
    • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and customer interactions in a CRM system and prepare regular performance reports. 

    EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

    • A recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Agribusiness, Business, Marketing or a related field.
    • A strong personal interest in tech/agriculture is essential!
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – you’re not afraid to pick up the phone or craft a compelling email.
    • A quick learner with a proactive, "can-do" attitude and a strong desire to build a career in business development.
    • Basic understanding of the agricultural landscape or a keen eagerness to immerse yourself in it.
    • Tech-savvy and comfortable with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
    • Self-motivated, resilient, and results-oriented, even without extensive prior experience.
    • 1–2 years of proven success in agricultural sales or business development.
    • Deep understanding of crop science, agronomic practices, and the specific technological solutions being sold.
    • Exceptional negotiation, persuasive communication, and relationship-building abilities.
    • Willingness to travel occasionally within an assigned territory and passport holder is an added advantage.
