  • Our client with a focus on multiple business segments is looking to recruit a dynamic and results-oriented B2B LPG Sales Lead to drive growth and operational excellence in their LPG business.

    JOB PURPOSE:

    The individual will be responsible for growing LPG sales volumes and margins in Kenya. They will build strong relationships, identify new business opportunities and ensure seamless execution of LPG sales for the company.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Identify and secure new business opportunities to drive profitable growth within the LPG segment.
    • Manage existing customer relationships and ensure continued growth in LPG sales volume, especially bulk LPG.
    • Implement national sales strategies at a local level to achieve performance targets.
    • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
    • Coordinate with operations, finance and depot teams to ensure timely deliveries and accurate billing.
    • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes affecting LPG sales.
    •  Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations, including HSSE protocols.
    • Represent the company at industry forums, trade events and customer engagements.
    • To manage the level of Gross cash delivered margin per customer and ensure it is sufficient to cover all the below the line costs.
    • Promote cross-sell opportunities including non-gas revenue streams.
    • Monitor key accounts performance trends and determine appropriate actions to address any issues to optimize the business and deliver best-in-class customer service and compliance with credit policy.
    • Key point of contact in budgeting for LPG sales volume planning, tracking, reporting and compiling relevant reports for management use.
    • Other tasks as demanded by the business.

    EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

    • A first degree in Business, Marketing or any related field.
    • Ability to demonstrate hands-on experience in sales or marketing roles where one has established the ability to meet targets, lead initiatives, and adapt to industry trends.
    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales and marketing preferably in LPG or FMCG.
    • Strong understanding of Energy sector and LPG industry dynamics.
    • Membership of a relevant professional body would be an added advantage.
    • Demonstrates high business acumen.
    • Leadership and Team Management experience.
    • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
    • Strong problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent Customer Relationship Management experience.
