  • Summary of Key Responsibilities

    To support the site team in the installation, assembly, programming, and troubleshooting of water and chemical metering pumps and associated mechanical and electrical systems, including Human Machine Interface (HMI) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) operations to ensure our customers’ toughest technical challenges are solved

    This position is a critical function for the  Site team, and as such a high level of interpersonal skills both internally and externally are required.  Maintaining a professional image of Solenis and the portfolio + brand in the marketplace is critical, whilst supporting the commercial team to maintain and develop business.  Capability to develop and maintain one to one relationships with field staff and customers, as well as being a team player within the Site team.

    1. Minimum weekly telecons as required with team members and/or business managers

    Specific Accountabilities

    1. Support in the installation and commissioning of single-phase and 3-phase diaphragm chemical metering pumps
    2. Perform routine troubleshooting and fault diagnosis on malfunctioning pumps, identifying and rectifying mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
    3. Ability in mechanical and electrical assembly of pump components, including diaphragms, seals, valves, and structural elements.
    4. Support in assembling electrical elements of HMI’s and pumps such as wiring, sensors, switches, and electrical connectors.
    5. Assist in troubleshooting PLC-related problems, ensuring accurate communication and control of pumps and related equipment.
    6. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including installation records, troubleshooting logs, and program code changes.

    Person Specification

    1. Degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering
    2. Familiarity with mechanical assembly of pump parts and components.
    3. Elementary skills in wiring and electrical assembly.
    4. Exposure to HMI operations and troubleshooting.
    5. Basic knowledge in PLC programming and fault diagnosis.
    6. Must be an effective and confident communicator
    7. Good problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
